How the game works

  • dj

    1. duos arrive in team uniform

  • 2. receive the top-secret-envelope

  • Thor and

    3. strategize to find 400+ items on "the List"

  • 4. Search the city! take photos of items/locations you find

  • 5. post your findings to social media. top scoring teams advance

  • 6. Finalists solve riddles to find me, the man with the money

important information

    • 2 players over the age of 13 equals a team.

    • Families with more team members can play together. EX: mom, dad, and 3 kids can play on 1 team. Younger kids aren’t required to be in photos. Please register these kids as “assistants.”

    • 400+ items locations are on the list. You do not need to find everything. Each item/location is worth a unique point value. EX. a banana may be worth 1 point whereas a yellow stop sign could be 20 points.

    • Highest scoring teams make the finals

  • Teams who wear matching uniforms will receive points. Remember, the top teams with the most points will make the finals so earn those easy ones. All uniformed teams will earn the same amount of points no matter how elaborate your get up is. Wearing basic black Ts will count but there will be a prize for the most popular uniform. Masks or anything covering your face will not be allowed in any pictures. Minimal face paint may be allowed. Costumes must not be X-rated. If you are unsure if your uniform/costume is acceptable please contact me.


  • Check ins - Galleria Mall in Richland. Look for the black balloons inside.

    Game: 9am-3pm

    Finals: 7pm

    1. A teammate. 2 players make a team.

    4. One player needs a social media account: Facebook, Snapchat OR Instagram. You will post your findings.

“I've done the 10k scavenger hunt twice and both times I had a blast. We somehow made the finals the first year we did it, and then in 2023, my best friend and I teamed up for the scavenger hunt and we had a BLAST. We went ALL over town. We went through Windber, Richland, Portage, Ferndale, Downtown Johnstown and so many other areas. I found out about businesses that I didn't even know existed and it's so cool knowing we're supporting local businesses by participating. When we found out we made finals, we literally were jumping and crying in the middle of the mall. We had such a fun time racing around Johnstown and I'm so stoked to participate again. Even if you don't win, it's an absolute blast playing.”
